The original version of this fragrance was developed as a candle scent over 100 years ago by Madame Rigaud, to scent her fabulous Parisian fashion boutique. Customers begged Madame for cypress-scented candles for their own homes, and thus began the Rigaud candle dynasty. In the 1960s, President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy burned Rigaud Cypres candles throughtout the White House, and super-pricey Rigaud candles are still favored by Hollywood's elite even today.
This woodsy, natural fragrance is a simple, classic blend of cypress and pine underscored with soft sandalwood. Needless to say, it's a natural in candles, but it also makes a terrific unisex scent for soap, shower gel, shampoo, etc.
