Chocolate fragrance oils can be pretty dicey -- either wan and weak like a Tootsie Roll, or flat and harsh. This chocolate fragrance is the exception -- very full-bodied and rich. Please note: This oil turns cold-process soap dark brown over time, as all chocolate fragrances do. Not necessarily an undesirable thing, but just FYI. Flashpoint: >200º F.
If you like Crabtree & Evelyn's "Noel," you'll love our Christmas Forest!
A perfect re-creation of the wintery, woodsy splendor of a Christmas tree forest -- notes of northern spruce, holiday pine, and natural fir needle atop clean, herbal mid-notes and balsamic-woody base notes. BOTTOM LINE: Sharpen that axe and get ready to swing, swing, swing! Flashpoint: 170º F.
The quintessential scent for Christmas here at Sweet Cakes (no matter how many other Christmas fragrances we bring in, Christmas Spice outsells them 10-1). This seasonal standout is an irresistible blend of Yuletide spice, woods, and sweet notes. At the top, ripe strawberry melds with touches of green apple and pineapple. Next, holiday spices of clove, cinnamon, pimento, and cardamom blend with a hint of rose, leading to a long-lasting drydown of sweet vanilla and balsam fir.
POINT OF INTEREST: Many of our customers don't want to give this one up come January, so they rename it -- "Stacey's Spice," "Yakimaw Valley Spice," etc., so they can keep it in their lines. Flashpoint: 170º F.
A perfect fusion of green, herbal thyme and soaring red-berry notes so reminiscent of the holiday. This fragrance begins with notes of natural thyme oil, sea kelp, crisp green melon, and pure Italian lemon oil. Mid-notes of red and black currant, lavender, lily of the valley, and peach-infused cassis lead to a sweet, smoky bottom of musk, vetiver, raisins, and sun-dried tobacco leaves. We've tested this rigorously in cold-process soap and give it two big lye-scarred thumbs-up. Terrific for all other applications as well. Bottom Line: A new Christmas classic in the making. Flashpoint: 162º F
Forget all those mundane cinnamon-apple combinations in the marketplace -- they're so candles 15 years ago on your grandmother's coffee table. Sweet, unexpected top notes of peach make this time-honored fragrance fresh and exciting. Whether you're making soap, candles, or potpourri, this blend of peach, apple, cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, musk, and sandalwood vanilla will become your new fall favorite. Flashpoint 162º F
A fragrant, true-smelling alternative to cinnamon essential oil, which is known to cause seizing and overheating in cold-process soap as well as possible skin irritation. One quick warning -- like all synthetic spice fragrance oils, if used at full strength, it will turn your soap yellow, so you may want to add some colorants (such as chromium oxide red) to turn the soap a "cinnamon" color. NOTE: It is not recommended to use products made with cinnamon fragrance or essential oil on facial or otherwise sensitive skin. Flashpoint: >200º F.
A touch nutty, a shade spicy -- this java jumps! Top notes of cinnamon and orange peel lead to a sweet rich middle of coffee, cacao, apple, and prune (yikes! now I'm hungry for a danish), with a drydown of hazelnut, fenugreek, and vanilla. Bottom Line: Delightful in candles, and it even performs perfectly in cold-process soap--HIGHLY unusual for a coffee fragrance. Flashpoint: >200º F.
This rich lemon-fig blend begins with citrusy top notes of essential oils of lemon and orange. It blooms into a fruity-floral heart of ginger, apple, geranium, real rose and green tea absolutes, and a touch of mint. The warm drydown consists of fig, spice, amber, and white musk. You know all those exotic new candle brands -- the ones where even a votive is, like, $30 and comes in its own tiny crate sitting on a bed of shredded cashmere? Citron et Figue is the kind of mesmerizing, expensive-smelling scent that you'd find in one of those . . . Flashpoint 172º F
Citron et Figue is one of our new blending favorites:
4 parts Sweet Cakes Sandalwood Fragrance
3 parts Sweet Cakes Grapefruit or Sweet Cakes Yuzu Fragrance
2 parts Sweet Cakes Osmanthus Fragrance
1 part Sweet Cakes Fig or Citron et Figue Fragrance
This blend takes Grapefruit or Yuzu fragrance to a whole new level -- the Citron et Figue adds "WOW!" and Sandalwood gives it a sensuous note.
New! A wonderful warm citrus herbal blend with top notes of orange and grafpefruit, followed by a mid section of oregano and marjoram, rounded out with bottom notes of amber and musk.Flashpoint: 162º F.
Wow!!! Have you smelled this extraordinarily popular boutique fragrance?!?! It's amazing!!! Super-clean and lemony fresh -- like Ivory Soap if you brought it into the 21st century with a gigantic shot of extra personality, strength, and pizzazz. Top notes of black currant, essential oil of lime, and lemon oil from Italy lead to a soapy, aldehydic midsection highlighted by rose, jasmine, pink grapefruit, and geranium, with violet, white musk, and soft woods notes in the drydown.
Allow me to share, if I may, part of a lovely note from one of our customers: "I wanted to say BRAVO and thank you for your new Clean (type) fragrance oil! I've been buying the real deal for about 6 months now and it is just way too expensive! Your version is identical, LONG-lasting and an absolute dream as far as the price goes. I'm not surprised that it's one of your top-sellers."
Perfectly unisex -- this fragrance would be at home in products for people of any age and gender, and would also be a perfect fit for potpourris, candles, etc., designed for use in the kitchen or bathroom. Does NOT discolor CP or M&P soap. Flashpoint: 150º F.
NEW! Our copy of one of Yankee Candles' best-sellers!
Aaaah . . . A fresh, clean cotton blossom type inspired by line-dried
linens. Subtle citrus top notes lead to a sweet floral middle of apple blossom and geranium, with soft amber, jasmine, and musk in the bottom. How is this different from our other clean-smelling fragrances, like Irish Springs, Clean, Tide, etc.? The floral midnotes and ambery-musky bottom give Clean Cotton (type) a warmth and hominess not found in the others. It'll remind you of flannel jammies, clean and fluffy from the dryer! And soapers, fear not -- while this is a duplication of a Yankee candle scent, it performs marvelously in all types of soap -- strong and true, with no discoloration. Flashpoint: >200º F.
Is there anything better than the smell of clean sheets, still warm from the dryer? I don't think so, and neither did the makers of the various "Clean" brand fragrances, so they created the super-popular "Warm Cotton" fragrance.
This is our re-creation of CLEAN's "Warm Cotton." Not perfume-y or over the top -- just the fresh irresistible aroma of a towel pulled out of the dryer or a favorite cotton t-shirt (which, as it turns out, is actually kind of sexy). Notes of citrus, lilac, jasmine, and orange peel atop a warm, subtle base of amber and musk combine to create that hard-to-capture fresh, comforting "just laundered" scent.

Clementine, is of course, a type of tangerine, and this fragrance's sparkling top notes and killer midsection of natural orange, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, and bergamot oils will make this the darling of your scent arsenal (get it -- darling? clementine?). Irresistible, and wonderfully realistic and long-lasting, even in tough applications like cold-process soap, notorious for tearing orange scents from limb to limb. Flashpoint: 146º F.
Here's a terrific blend using Clementine Fragrance:
3 parts Sweet Cakes Clementine Fragrance (or Sweet Cakes Mandarin Orange Fragrance)
1 part Sweet Cakes Icecap Fragrance
This citrus blend with a cool blast is great for hot summer days. It's truly a unisex blend -- men love it. It's a great blend for men's products if you want to get away from traditional woody, citrus, or designer-cologne blends. Talk about a "wake you up in the morning" shower! You may want to adjust the Icecap, depending on how "cool" you want the blend to be. I don't recommend more than 5 parts Clementine to 2 parts Icecap, though.
An exotic touch of Thailand for your soaps, candles, and toiletries. Tart, fruity top notes of pineapple, lemongrass, and lime blend with a peachy middle, leading to a smooth finish of vanilla, sandalwood and coconut. BOTTOM LINE: A clean, fresh, exotic aromatic blend; one of our top sellers. Flashpoint: 162º F.
Here's a cool blend for summer that's sure to blow you away:
3 parts Sweet Cakes Coconut Lemongrass Fragrance
1 part Sweet Cakes Tahitian Petals Fragrance
This is an "odd blend" perhaps, but a wonderful result! The Tahitian Petals lends an exotic floral note to the already lush "Thai" blend of coconut and lemongrass. Very exotic, this blend takes me away to the warm breezes of distant Thailand!
Summer in a bottle! That's the best way to describe this perfectly-balanced fusion of sparkling sweet coconut and citrusy lemon-lime-verbena, with mid-notes of melon, citron, and cyclamen, atop a clean base of white musk and sweet amber woods.
Note: While this fragrance has been formulated to work well in CP soap, it has not yet been tested by Sweet Cakes in that medium.
Flashpoint: 185º F.
Pass the poi, pussycat, and let this citrusy-island flower blend transport you to a secluded cove on the leeward side of Kaui!
Comptoir Sud Pacifique is a leader in the world of boutique fragrances, and we're delighted to offer you our interpretation of their super-popular Aloha Tiare scent. This is a simple, easy-to-like tropical blend of tiare flower, vanilla, coconut, ylang-ylang, and a touch of white musk. Whisk yourself away to the islands with this sunny, irresistible blend! Flashpoint: >200º F
All that the name implies -- cool, clean, and citrusy. An irresistible herbal blend with top notes of fresh basil, oregano, and cardamom, leading to a floral middle of rose-geranium and cyclamen flowers. A crisp finish is provided by lavender, musk, and woods notes. BOTTOM LINE: A fantastic, completely unisex blend -- this would be among our top picks for those looking for a fresh and/or clean scent. Flashpoint: 150º F.
A wonderful, rich, complex, masculine sea blend, based on the extremely popular men's fragrance by Davidoff of the same name. Top notes of lavender, rosemary, and menthe are freshened by bergamot. Middle notes of jasmine, geranium, sandalwood, iris, and oakmoss lead to a manly bottom of musk and ambergris. Not too perfumey -- just right! Flashpoint: 182º F.
Simple and unpretentious -- like Christmas in a country farmhouse. Top notes of cinnamon, peach, strawberry, blood orange, and plum lead to a warm, woodsy heart of juniper berries and raspberry, with a clean, foresty finish of spruce, pine, vanilla bean, and musk. Great in soap and potpourri, and particularly wonderful in wax candles as well. BOTTOM LINE: A bowl of pine cones scented with Country Christmas will have visitors to your home thinking you've got cinnamon sticks simmering on the stove and a fresh-cut fir tree in the family room. Flashpoint: 158º F.
